On the eve of the new version of Amazons updated e-reader, I was looking at whether or not I might be interested in getting one.
Two things are important to me in regards to an e-reader.
1. The books I like to read have to be available.
2. Overall it needs to be cheaper than the way I'm currently buying books.
As for the first point, even though it has gotten better, a large proportion of the books I read are still not available for the Kindle.
And even if they are available, the cost of a Kindle version of a book is generally MORE expensive than the paperback version which I usually buy. Even the hardcovers are only 10% more than the Kindle. It should be the other way around.
Right now the Kindle books are too few and too expensive by far.
